(NOT the CD that came free with one of the books or somesuch). Now, I'm still playing through Wiz8, but I wanted to know if anyone had suggestions for first person party based RPGs to play through afterwards? Lets open up the floor for suggestions from any console/pc, and not just limit this discussion to windows based FPRPGs.īetrayal at Krondor (the original) is 1st/3rd person, has an incredible orchestrated score, and a huge open world, with a pretty good story to boot (at times it is like a book).īonus points if you can get the original CD version, the one with the CD-quality audio. I've played plenty of bioware-style CRPGs, but I've never given a second thought to the Might and Magics, or the Realms of Arkania.

I'm beginning to think that I blacklisted all CRPGs for the same reason. The thing that really shook me to my core was that I've tried Wiz8 in the past, and I would always give up because there was a decent bit of a learning curve. The party management and detailed combat really helped me exorcise my tactical demons, the intricate storyline made the adventurey side of me swoon. Turns out Wizardry was exactly what I was looking for. Somehow my mind drifted back to a copy of Wizardry 8 I had back in the day, its a long shot.but why not give it a try? Thinking I was really looking for an action adventure game, I picked up Zelda for the DS.close, but still not yet what I was looking for. I loaded up Romance of the Three Kingdoms thinking I needed a strategy fix, definitely helped the need subside but didn't quite satisfy.
